The Coalition is excited to share that enrollment for our multi-state Mileage-Based User Fee (MBUF) Pilot with Transurban has been extended! Transportation stakeholders across our 20 member states* and Washington D.C. are invited to help examine this funding alternative firsthand now through June 30, 2026!
Through this hands-on experience, participants can gain insight into how transportation is funded today, how EV fees compare to MBUF, and what a future user-based system could look like. Their feedback directly shapes state, regional, and national conversations about sustainable revenue solutions.
Participation is free and participant data security and privacy protection is a top priority (read details HERE). While no real money will be exchanged, participants will receive monthly mock statements throughout the pilot showing what they would have paid under an MBUF system compared to their current gas tax or EV fee. Additional feedback will be collected through two surveys – one upon enrollment, and one at the end of the pilot. Click here to learn more and enroll today!
