Executive Director Trish Hendren Presents Key Coalition Findings to North Carolina General Assembly Committee

On Jan. 11, Executive Director Trish Hendren presented key findings from the Coalition’s North Carolina mileage-based user fee (MBUF) exploration to the North Carolina General Assembly’s House Select Committee on Strategic Transportation Planning and Long-Term Funding Solutions.

The presentation focused on important takeaways from the Coalition’s work in North Carolina, which includes statewide surveys, passenger pilots, commercial truck pilots, and analyses of the impact of MBUF on North Carolina households.

Hendren shared information revealing North Carolina residents’ impressions of MBUF, data on the impacts of MBUF on different geographies within North Carolina, and the Coalition’s next steps in researching the potential effects of an MBUF system on the Eastern Seaboard.

The presentation is part of the Coalition’s overall mission to bring policymakers useful information based on real-world data.
